Thanksgiving!

Today was so VERY long. I'm pretty sure it actually started yesterday, with all the cleaning and baking pies (an apple and a pumpkin) and brownies (normal and dark chocolate). Woke up early this morning to get breakfast ready and start the turkeys; TWO by the way... two turkeys. I'm stuffed and exhausted. My brother and his girlfriend are spending the night and even at 9pm, my Nana and Uncle are still here. Gahhh.. I love my family, but I'm so sleepy and its Arch's night off.

Archimedes FINALLY got my first package, which had two pumpkin pies in jars and a very cautionary note that said to not eat them if the seal had broken and the top popped up. I used really good canning jars and made sure they were very sanitized and sealed well, put the lids on right out of the oven and made sure they had a really good seal. I made 7 and sent 2 to Arch, my dads been snacking on the ones I've had here. I kept them out on the counter to see how well they lasted to see if Arch's lasted too and they've been doing great. He was actually REALLY excited to hear that they were pumpkin pies, since I had been telling him I don't like pumpkin pie at all.. he told me its very "un-American"... haha. Well at least I eat apple pie. I'm glad he got it, now I need to start getting his Birthday/Christmas package ready. It'll probably end up getting there a week or so after his birthday, but that's okay.

Tomorrow, sleep... so much sleep. Oh, and I'll take pictures of the nails I did for Thanksgiving.
